The BackMatrix-49-3080 lights with a clean, focused pure white light with 4000K, that can go well in studies, garages and kitchens. Compared to the warm light that evokes relaxation, pure white makes you focused and alert. With the BackMatrix 49 you will have an extremely-high brightness of 3500 lm per square foot that can be used for general lighting of high ceiling spaces, task lighting or luminaire construction. At such high luminious flux level the module has applications mainly in the business sector. Most office or commercial spaces can be optimally lit with the matrix behing a translucent ceiling or inside a large area luminaire. The Plug & Play module can also be used for work illumination of light demanding tasks. The powerful BackMatrix-49-3080 LED module is designed for optimum illumination of large surfaces. Luminous ceilings, walls or 3D elements will have a uniform lighting in color and intensity, with high spectrum quality and very high brightness. Optimum illumination in guaranteed by using high performance Nichia LEDs.

A special attribute of this LED module is the possibility that the Nichia 757 LEDs can be adjusted with 3 levels of brightness via onboard switch, from the high 3500 lm to a relaxed 1200 lm per square foot. Even at the highest setting the module does not require cooling and is covered by a 5 years warranty.  

The BackMatrix module is also very easy to install and cooling is not required. Each matrix has an connector with insulation displacement making soldering for electric connection unnecessary. Contact from module to module can be made using a single standard cable, very long cable lengths are possible.

All the Nichia LEDs used for the BackMatrix module have at least 42.800 hours L70 lifetime in hot working conditions. However, most users will see a lifetime of at least 100.000 hours. 

LEDs are color sorted up to a 3 step MacAdam Ellipse which guarantees color uniformity at installation and problems free extending of the lighting system or servicing  parts of it.
